Abby spends the day with a beagle friend

Abby hung out with our neighbor and her rescue beagle, Porthos. The girls had a nice morning and went for walks. Abby is really great with other dogs and I'm hoping this one-on-one experience will help any loneliness she may feel.

I knew that Abby likes kids but she'll stop if she sees one. Her tag starts wagging and she likes to say hello. We met a very cute 2 year old in the elevator and he giggled with glee after seeing her.
It was wonderful to see.

Abby's Sunday out

Although Abby did really well a few weeks ago when I gave her a bath at home, I wanted to take her to a do-it-yourself doggie wash place in Herndon called Bark-n-Bubbles.

Abby also met my sister's (rescue) dogs, Molly and Sammie, who sometimes like other dogs and sometimes do not. They liked Abby and hung out with her today in Gretchen's apartment.

During the bath, she did a fantastic job not spazzing out or trying to escape from the tub. Another family washing their two hyper dogs commented how they wish their dogs were 'chill' like Abby. I love hearing this plus when someone says---she's so pretty.

Abby has her second and third hw treatment on September 22.

It was a good Sunday for us girls.

Abby is relaxing now...

Her heart worm treatment went well. She'll get another two shots in a month. Dr. Jaffe said that she was very sweet. I agree. :)

Heart worm treatment on Monday

Abby had a great day at the dog park. She's learning to be a dog--walking better on a leash, being so friendly with other dogs. It was really sweet to watch her today.

She's getting her heart worm treatment tomorrow by Dr. Jaffe at Montgomery Animal Hospital. Wish us luck!

Update on Abby

We (Abby, my two cats, and me) had a house guest on Saturday night: a 3 month old shep puppy that was brought up from a transport. Abby liked the puppy but wasn't too interested in being maternal.

Abby continues to do better at walking outside, despite the heat. She's officially getting her heartworm treatment on August 24.

She is becoming more lovey each day.

Abby Rose Has Heartworm

Sweet Abby Rose has heartworm. This is so curable but expensive to treat. Please help Abby Rose by becoming her sponsor. Go to her petfinder page or click on her ChipIn widget to help. THANK YOU!!!!

Abby Rose, SO SWEET!

Abby Rosie is a very friendly hound that needs a home. She is 6 years old and 50 Ibs and very pretty. She has the sweetest, prettiest face.

Abby Rose is living in a foster home in the metro DC area after being saved from a high kill shelter. Since moving to her new home, we've learnt more about her. For instance, that she has a terrific personality and is as sweet as she looks. Abby is so gentle and loves everyone she meets. She'll lay down for belly rubs at the drop of a hat. She gets along with other dogs, cats and kids.

Abby Rose is learning to walk on a leash. She is crate trained and housetrained. Abby Rose will be a wonderful addition to any family. Please consider adopting this sweet dog.
